Well...the videos really tell you everything about the game that I know....well that anyone(but blizzard and the beta testers of which i am neither:(:( ) knows.

Domain Name Changes + EA Game + Another Blog Feature!

Firstly, New domain name changes have come into effect meaning that you will soon see domain name such as .car and .google. I hope that this means that we won't get sites like www.microsoft.microsoft or www.nytimes.news. Secondly. EA Games has announced that if you are banned on the EA Forums you will be banned from EA's Games. Thirdly, Youtube Live has been announced. Youtube Live will provide live feed of Akon Concerts and Mythbusters. This will be good for Google as it will provide more revenue (not like it needs more money!). However this will be bad for the TV industry as more people will be going to Youtube to look at these clips. Youtube3 Live will be held on November 22 in America so that will be on November 23 in Australia! Finally, every so often I will be posting a Game trailer or an advert for an upcoming product in the tech industry. Today I will post the Need for Speed: Undercover Tri-City Bay trailer:

Catch-Up Post

I would first like to apologise for making the blog private but there were some layout issues involving andrewcow's posts.

Next we get to all the news I missed:

1) E3 will go back to the original intended format next year with it being expanded and open to all qualified "international and US-based media, analysts, retailers, developers and business partners."

2) A LittleBigPlanet sequel is rumored but no official announcements have been made

3) Microsoft has announced Windows Azure. Azure will "provide a wide range of internet services that can be consumed from both on-premises environments or the internet.". This will integrate Windows Live.

I will post more about these as more comes up.

2 things: Firstly, because of the unseen circumstances which made the

Secondly I just found out about the shutdown 0f Hellgate: London early next year. Now i have never played the game so but i hear it had a rushed release and was pretty bad. Call of Duty 4 Retrospective + Youtube 5

Firstly this weeks Youtube 5 will appear today as the unforeseen circumstances have been cancelled.

Today's retrospective will be on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.COD4 is the 4th game (not including expansions) in the Call of Duty series. The game was developed by Infinity Ward for the PS3, Windows, Xbox 360 and Mac. It was developed in a proprietary engine and was released in late 2007 (Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360) and Quarter 3 2008 for the Mac.The single player is very similar to that of the previous COD games. In this game the player is led to each mission by the Heads Up Display (HUD).The highlight of teh game however is the multiplayer. Both team and deathmatch based multiplayer feature in the game and the players performace is tracked through Experience Points.

Call of Duty 3 Retrospective

Call of Duty 3 was released in late 2006 and early 2007 for thePS2PS3, Wii, Gamecube, Xbox and Xbox 360. It was developed by Treyarch and Pi Studios under a custom built engine, Treyarch NGL.

The single player campaign for COD3 is modelled after the Normandy Campaign and you can play as a British, Canadian, Polish, American or French Resistance soldier.

Multiplayer for the game was wide but still similar to COD2. The number of players on each server was expanded to 24 for PS3 and Xbox 360 and 16 for PS2 and Xbox. There were no multiplayer options for the Wii version. Modes included: Battle, Team Battle, war, Capture the Flag, Single CTF and Headquaters.

Call of Duty 2 Retrospective + More

Today I will continue my retrospective series with call of Duty 2!

Call of Duty 2 is the sequel to C all of Duty and was released for Windows, Xbox 360, Mac and Mobile Phones in late 2005 and 2006. Again this game is set in World War 2 and you can choose from 3 factions,the Red Army, The US Army and the British Army. The Gameplay is similar to Call of Duty in that it was a first person shooter and you perform specific missions.

The multiplayer aspect was much improved on COD in that each PC server can hold up to 64 player and Xbox 360 servers can hold 8 players. Game types are similar to that in COD and it's expansion Pack United Offensive except that  Behind Enemy Lines has been removed.

The Xbox 360 version recieved an 89% from Metacritic while the PC version recieved an 86%.

Advertisments for the game were marred by controversy with claims they were misleading.

Also so far all three Milestones of Windows 7 look similar to Windows Vista. Couldn't they have changed the visual aspect by now? Why not start a brand new code? I mean beside the compatibility issues this would help liven up Windows and possibly make it more appealing by starting again.

can get a 1TB hard drive for only $160 this is only because of our terrible dollar.
Wen i bought mine it was only $130!!And it is not just hard drives> They have cheap
EVERYTHING!! Well yea.... that's it. They are no doubt the cheapest shop in Brisbane
so i thought i would tell you:)

Call of Duty Retrospective

Here's the first of my retrospective posts on the Call of Duty series. I'll kick it off with Call of Duty.

Call of on duty was released on November 7 2003 for Windows, Mac and the N-Gage. It was based off the Quake 3: Arena engline, id Tech 3, and is the first game in the Call of Duty series. It is based in World War 2 and "simulates infantry and combined arms warfare. It won the 2003 Game of the Year award and was nominated for the best game award at the 2004 Game Developers Conference. It also recieved 91% from Metacritic.

COD had multiplayer with 6 modes: Behind Enemy Lines (a few allied soldiers have to stay alive for as long as possible), Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Retrival (similar to Capture the flag), Search and Destroy (similar to Counter-Strike's bomb diffusal) and Headquaters.

COD single player campaign was quite in-depth and had three different faction campaigns: American, British and Soviet.

Tomorrow i'll do a retrospective on Call of Duty 2.

In other news: I posted earlier this week about the issues in LittleBigPlanet's music. I basically said it contained segments from the Koran. In today's Courier Mail it said that Sony plan to pulp all affected discs! WHAT THE HELL!!! Why pulp? Why not patch? This is by far the stupidest thing I ever heard in my life!

LittleBigplanet music issues!

It seems as though the nice folks at Sony hate us as there are some interesting lyrics in one of the songs in the game. It seems the game contains audio smaples from the Musim religious text the Qur'an.

In the 18th second: "kollo nafsin tha'iqatol mawt", literally: "Every soul shall have the taste of death' ... almost immediately after, in the 27th second: "kollo man alaiha fan", literally: "All that is on earth will perish."

Does this mean that if we play Little Big Planet we will destroy the earth? W00T! But seriously this problem could anger Muslims who play the game.

This problem will cause Worldwide delays however so the original October 22 release has been pushed back by one week.

Site Changes + More Tesla Coil Music!

Firstly, you may have noticed that the blogs layout has just undergone a minor change from green to blue. I feel this looks better than the green so i'll stick with it for a while. Also a news section has been added to the right hand sidebar. Just select you keyword from the list and the news for that keyword will appear below it. Its andrewcow here and i have sad news:( due to some unforseen problems i have not
been able to review Big Rigs. I will try and do it and get it to you A.S.A.P but for now as
promised i have my top 5 favroutie internet MEMEs. BTW i have no ideawhy the end is
cut off things. Now for my friends who don't no what an Internet MEME is

I'm writing this from my new firefox extension that I've just gotten called Scribefire! it's awesome! I don't need to go to Blogger to post! I just use the extension.

Also I am currently considering making this blog public so if you have any personal details on your profile at google or blogger that you don't want public then just sign in to Blogger using your google account and change your profile. Please voice your opinion on whether I should make this blog public by commenting on this post.

Microsoft has announced a new programming language called "M". It is for "building textual domain-specific languages and software models with XAML" (slashdot.org).

What the hell does M mean. I mean Microsoft made it so maybe it stands for Microsoft. Who Knows...all I know is that this is just another programming language to add to the very long list of programming languages.
