Google SearchWiki
Google SearchWiki is a new feature of Google which allows a user to rank searches in their own order and comment on specific results. I feel that this is an excellent idea as it will allow people to put the results that they would prefer near the top as well as removing results they do not want. It will probably allow Google to see what people are looking for. To use this service you need a Google Account.

Youtube Live Review!
Youtube Live was one of the internet's unique experiences. Despite soem issues woth high quality, mainly lag, it was overall great. The performances were outstanding, except for Soulja Boy and some ukelele player. The stream opened with Mythbusters and Akon and continued with more outstanding performances.
This weeks Youtube 5 is some of teh Highlights from the event.
Bo Burnham "Welcome To YouTube" performed on YouTube Live '08
Happy Tree Friends - YouTube Live
MythBusters YouTube Live

YouTube Live!
Hi
Just looked at YouTube live. Its pretty good. You can't really tell what is actually going to be on it or how it is going to work, because right now it is just like and opening concert thingy. The videos(there are 4 different camera angles) are available in Low, Medium and High quality and the only one that didn't lag on my internet was the Low one, but that is probably just my internet. Try it if you have good internet and tell me:)Overall i like it:)
Thanks
AndrewCow
P.S. This is not the review, that will still go ahead and be much more detailed. I just thought i would give you my thoughts on it:)

Does my iPod get heavier if i put more songs on it?
Hi
We got out first Hardware question:) Does my iPod got heavier if you put more songs on it?
I am 99% sure that iPods use solid state drives(they are really really small and have no moving parts). An example of a basic solid state drive is your basic SD card. A normal hard drive has a few spinning metal disks and some magnets so the magnets record data on to the spinning metal disks.
Now i am not 100% sure how solid state drives work. I know they use either DRAM volatile memory or NAND flash non-volatile memory(these are the block rectangles you see on sticks of RAM) which contain semiconductors instead of a metal disk. So basically No. In computers, storage is just a connection of electrical impulses so they weigh nothing:)
Thanks for the question
AndrewCow
P.S. If you have any questions post them on the comment of this post
P.P.S Thanks Jackson for your response:)

Hi
I was just thinking how good this blog is becoming:) I remember the first time McFar54 said he was making a tech blog and i thought it was the stupidest thing i had ever heard.......closely followed by me begging him to be able to post on it:)Thanks McFar54.
Well now......Have you ever wondered how to get under the scenery in wow......well you can if you are not trying. A couple of days ago, while playing wow, i managed to get under the scenery......completely by accident. You see, i took a boat ride, which instead of taking me to where it was meant to go, took me to the opposite side of the Azeroth but underneath the scenery. It was very very weird and took like 30 mins to get out of.
Well i thought i would just share that funny little story with you. Now on to the serious stuff. CARAMELLDANSEN. Soon(like, a couple of days) i will be posting my 5 favorite caramelldansen videos cause caramalldansen is so awesome. :) Also starting next month, i will be reviewing hardware and possible some useful software cause I don't think I am so far being very useful:)
Well that's all for now
AndrewCow
P.S. If you play wow feel free to friend me. My characters name is Thedeathnote(i love Anime)on the Narangd server. I also have a guild I would love for you to join.
P.P.S. I am the hardware person for this blog so if you ever have any questions about any hardware, I would be happy to answer them if you put them in the comments:)

Microsoft free anti-virus?, 2 announcements and more...
Next, Microsoft has announced that they will be offering free anti virus software, Morro, availiable Q3/4 next year. Great idea, but my only issue is that this could kill competition as people just won't be bothered with buying a 3rd party anti-virus software and will just stick with one by good-old Microsoft, even if it is only very basic. Other free anti-virus solutions, like Avast! should try to get their name out their to consumers to stop Microsoft taking over this industry like they did with web browsers.
Next, how would you like to get every Valve game on Steam? well you can for US$99.95. It really does sound like a great deal but sadly some other good games are not made by Valve so you will still have to get them seperately. Great idea Valve!
Next, Next week the official forums for this blog will be unveild so now you will have a place to vent your little heart out on whatever you want (provided you put it into the right thread!)

4GB Graphics Card and the first of 2 Youtube 5's
AVG Anti virus updated yesterday but now it marks the file user32,dll as a a virus. Deleteing this file would cause the computer to not start up or go into an endless reboot cycle. AVG suggests recovering the file using the Windows recovery console.
*Insert Youtube 5 banner here!*
This week there will be 2 Youtube 5's. Also the Youtube 5 banner will be released on Friday.

NEW LAYOUT!
Ok this is my first use of the previously announced new layout!
A Google Executive has told a Web 2.0 conference that Google wants to open up the company to outside developers. This would mean that anyone could code for Google. What this wil mean for current Google employees is unclear but it is doubtfull that they would lose their jobs.
Microsoft is working on it's own apps store to rival that of Apple, at a conference in Sydney. Apart from that nothing else has been announced.
Yahoo is interested in Microsoft buying them out but Microsoft appears to be very uninterested. They said that their buyouts were a thing of the past but they are leaving open the option for a search partnership.
Call of Duty World at War is to be released this Wednesday. The game is set in World War 2 in the Pacific.
A new expansion for EVE Online is due to be released in March. It will "introduce 'Tech 3' modular ship designs, branching epic mission arcs, further improvements to the new player experience, and exploration of uncharted space through unstable wormholes. ... The focus of the expansion will be 'true exploration,' with players using new skills and modules to travel through wormholes into all-new, unconnected space."
LittleBigPlanet has finally had a worldwide release after the music scandel in which the Koran was quoted. So far all reports on the game have been positive.

Idiots Guide to 1337 5p3@|<
Hi:)
McFar54 should have posted by now........his post should be good:)He has been telling me about it but i can't slip any secrets:)Well....i hope its good.
Well:) Here it is -- My Beginners(yes i changes the name) Guide to 1337 5p3@<(Leet Speak) Well first, Leet Speak, an abbreviation of Elite speak(which is funny since Elite is not spelt Eleet), was originally developed by, those lovely people, Hackers:) You see...eventually forum sites got sick of Hackers discussing tactics and methods on their boards so there was a big crackdown. SO the Forum Moderators searched hacking topics ect....So the hackers needed some way to still discuss their stuff and get around this search. Hence 1337 5p3@k. So these hackers got symbols that looked like the letters and used those instead:) Here is the basic 1337 alphabet: :EDIT-the new formating got rid of this and cbf to type it out again!!! go to the link instead!! here is the full alphabet!!.
You may be thinking 'Well that's very simple'. Well...you are wrong. You see it is not just that. Also certain world are changed, like you might change a word when writing in net speak for example joo instead of you. There is also replacing numbers in the place of letters(this is commonly used it net speak as well tho so...) like Great goes to Gr8.
Now i could write a whole dictionary filled with 1337 words(and i am sure someone has) but i cant be bothered...:)
50.......+-4+5 411 4 \0\/\/...
6`/3:)
(so....thats all for now
bye)
