ZDNet reports that Intel has revealed plans to release an Eight Core Xeon Processor on Fewbruary 9 at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference in San Francisco. For consumers this would mean being able to run more programs at once or the same number of programs faster. This is a pleasant leap foreward for the CPU industry but we are still waiting to see the first 16 core processor for the home market.
